I took this some time ago, but liked the shadows and the use of the fish eye lens. I got a little tired of using the fish eye all of the time due to it making most of the photos look the same, but it works well with interesting subjects such as this.

It’s been a while since I’ve played out, but come downtown for Chief Rocka for some good music this Thursday night!

I’m confused as to how this is original. I don’t really understand the point behind some of these people “designing” t-shirts these days. They just take an image, put it on a t-shirt and throw their name on it and want to charge $25-$30 for it. Really?

I printed this out months ago and now it just sits. I was hoping to wheat paste it onto wood, but haven’t gotten around to it. Well I did buy the wheat paste, but haven’t had enough time to get messy with it.

A few weekends ago I took some photos for my girlfriend for her portfolio. She had some models model the dresses she designed and made and we headed out to the desert.

Little did I know that the wind out there was going to be 25mph and constant sand hitting us and my equipment, but overall the shoot turned out decent. Some shots better than others, but it was my first time in that kind of setting with the weather and lack of sunlight creating constant pressure of trying to get the best photos before it was pitch black out there.

I finally took the time to set up a personal blog for EvanMcGinnis.com.  For a long time I used this domain for my personal portfolio, which you can still access here: http://www.evanmcginnis.com/photo.html but for now I’ll be able to use this blog for personal postings of what I’m working on and what I’m doing.  It will be easier for me to frequently update this blog because I’m able to cover more areas of interest instead of my blogs at DjEVS.com which should always be music related and my blog at MilkcrateGraphics.com which is all design based.
